The Big Storm

Sunday we were driving in from being at my parents house for Easter when we were informed that our town was getting pounded with storms. We had 9 consecutive hail storms with the largest being at softball sized. Here's a picture of the hail stones courtesy of Hillary and Martin. These pictures were taken 1-2 hours apart from each other. The one on the right had been sitting on the ground for 15 minutes already! Needless to say, after get our roof checked out this week...I'm sure it will need to be replaced along with the rest of our side of town...

We did NOT want to run into this storm while traveling back!!!

I took some pictures along the way because the sky and clouds were so eerie looking.

We detoured South in order to try and bypass the biggest storm.

There were a couple of smaller storms that ended up traveling straight at us in our detour. We stopped at a gas station to let most of it pass. Poor Ty was so scared he jumped to the front seat to sit in Chad's lap.

The storms split just enough for us to make it through and head home.

Our normal 4.5 hour drive turned into a 7 hour drive but we were just thankful to be home safe and sound!! We really didn't run into that much rain other than our stop at the gas station. It was a pretty entertaining trip...we were both on our toes watching the radar on our phones!

Victoria Models

We took Victoria flower girl dress shopping for Clint & Kristen's wedding coming up this June. We only tried on 2 and didn't settle on either. She was just so cute and loved 'modeling' the dresses for all of us. I swear she's grown an inch every time I see her and her behavior and mannerisms always change but, I really I can't believe how grown up she has become. She was a little model for her few seconds of fame at the bridal store...

Adorable as always...
Love. That. Girl.

Easter 2011

After the Rangers Game, we headed to my rents house to spend Easter with my family. It was a very short but very good visit. Between swimming, egg hunting, making 'egg rice-krispies', eating ham, shopping for flower girl dresses, and connecting with family...we were exhausted! We had a long trip home to avoid the West Texas storms. But it was all worth it! More on the storms later...Excuse the coloring of the photos. It was a cloudy day and the settings were all wrong. But, photos are memories and this is what we have! :)

Rangers With the Clowns

We went with the clowns to their very first Texas Rangers game. It was a great game. We saw lots of home-runs and fireworks...but the best part was watching the joy of those clowns at a live baseball game.

Fireworks after each home-run! Way to go RANGERS!!

The 'wave' made it around the entire stadium from the top to bottom at least 3 times.
We were pretty amazed.

We WON!!!
