Extreme Couponing

Recently we have needed to replenish our stock of toiletries and other items. I've been saving my Sunday paper coupons and addicted to the show 'Extreme Couponing' on TLC. I don't think I will ever pay less than $5.00 for $1,000.00 worth of groceries or have a mini grocery store in my garage like they do on the show. But, I would like to save a buck here or there. So last Sunday, I set out to use my coupons!
CVS was my only stop so I had my CVS ad in hand and my coupons in my purse. I'm sure another 'Extreme Couponer' could have done a little better. But I was very happy with what I saved! :)

My purchase included:
Cascade dish-washing liquid, Crest Pro-Health rinse, Crest white-strips, 2 Old-Spice body wash, 2 Colgate toothpaste, 2 Head & Shoulders clinical strength, 4 Toothbrushes, 2 Tampax Pearl boxes, 2 Degree deodorants and 1 Ban deodorant.
My total purchase cost: $121.97
My total spent: $49.17
Amount saved: $72.80
Average cost per item: $2.70
