After we stuffed our faces at Perini's and all felt a little too full, we headed on to the zoo. It was a beautiful day out and only slightly windy. We were a little late in our plans and showed up right after the giraffe feeding times were closed. After we paid, the lady at the counter told us that they were putting up the bigger animals so we needed to start at the back. Well, I wish we would have known it was about to close before we paid! Luckily, it's a smaller zoo and we were able to zip through it all pretty quickly. We missed out on a few animals, but some that are not usually active were moving about as it was close to their feeding time.
Victoria enjoyed being the navigator and checking out the map while we were there:
"This is what a giraffe looks like when he sticks his tongue out."
And this picture is for my dad...who knows JUST what a screeching owl sounds like. As he reinacted it for us one night over Christmas break. HAHAHA!
We kept waiting for the peacock to open it's feathers...but it never did.
Feeding the fish off of the pier was probably the highlight of the zoo.
I spy Jared and Victoria:
We thought it would be fun to take a picture in the Z-O-O letters. There were some people already there so we played a little tag while waiting.
And had a little fun with our shadows.
And the next group of people who came to take some pictures was nice enough to take a photo for us. Thanks random lady!! :)
After we finished with the zoo, we headed over to our favorite tradition...feeding the ducks!
I love Victoria's expression in this one:
It was starting to get a little dark so Victoria & I raced back to the car.
