"I'm dreaming of a white christmas...just like the ones I used to know...where the treetops glisten...and children listen...to hear...sleigh bells in the snow..."
2012 was the year! We had snow on Christmas Day! How fun it was and yes, of course we all ran outside like giddy little kids screaming at the top of our lungs "IT'S SNOWING! IT'S SNOWING!" We had our mini little photo shoot and then stayed inside the rest of the night bound and determined to stay warm by the fire!
It wasn't sticking too much when it first came down as it had just been raining. But I love how you can see the snow pouring down in this picture.
We loved just watching it.
Daisy was the only dog who braved the snow.
Mom's house at the beginning of the snow. So beautiful.
Not a lot, but enough to bring out the kid in everyone.
Daisy kept good watch on the boys down by the fire.
But they exhausted her.
Want to see what a bunch of crazy ole' Texans look like when they see snow?? We run out and attempt to catch all the snowflakes with our tongue (until they hit our eye), jump up and down and scream it's snowing, yell about nothing, take pictures (oh wait, we do that anyway hehe) and forget how to turn the video off when we go to take a picture! Crazy Texans...
Precious & Silly Victoria. Angela wanted to go outside and snap a picture of Victoria in the snow to send to Jared, who was working. We promised Victoria that after she got the picture we would come back inside. So we were bound and determined to make this QUICK!
Catching some snowflakes on her tongue.
When we were ready to go in, Victoria crouched down on the ground. Angela and I were thinking, what in the world is she doing?? Come on Victoria it's cold!!! Victoria sat there for a little bit, looked around, ignored us and then as if in one motion flew to her back and began making her snow angel as fast as she could. Someone had alternative motives for coming outside in the snow. We laughed so hard!!
Gosh I love that girl.
Well done, Victoria. Well done.
The rest of the night was spent INDOORS! We had a dance recital, spotlighted by Chad.
Photo Bomber. Quite possibly the best I've seen in a long time...
Gingerbread Houses and Trains!
Mom & Victoria made the most adorable reindeer cookies I've ever seen!
And the boys stayed in for the night with a game of risk.
