Disney World Part 4!! Animal Kingdom

Animal Kingdom was a first for all of us.  We only spent half a day there but even though it is the smallest of the Disney Parks, you could have easily spent longer!  We had plans to get on the road to make our trek to Pensacola beach for our second part of the trip.  :)  This meant we had to check out of our resort before heading to Animal Kingdom.  Sad day!

While at the park, we wanted to make the most of our time and hit the hottest rides.

So as soon as we got there, Hubs and Clint went to get Fast Passes for the Animal Safari ride while the rest of us headed over to wait in line for Mt. Everest.  I was amazed at the people running all over the park to get in line for each of these rides!!  As soon as we got to the Mt. Everest ride we realized why everyone was running.  The line was huge and the park had been open for maybe 5 minutes.  The line went by very quickly though.  Victoria had worked up a little courage from riding her 'roller coasters' the day before at Epcot.  So, we asked her if she wanted to give this one a try and she was up for it!  There was an incredibly sweet lady who warned us of everything to come in the ride...including that it goes backwards!!  We started to get a little nervous for Victoria and we all tried psyching her up for it and how much fun it would be.  ;)

We knew this was going to be a make it or break it!  She was going to come off of this ride either having no interest in roller coasters ever again or have enough confidence to ride anything in the world!  Well...

She was not so happy when coming off of the ride.  ;)  But after a little talking through it, and a little hugging on Minnie Mouse...She was ready to bring all of her friends to Disney to ride it and show them how brave she was.  It was hilarious to listen to her talk about which friends she thought would ride it and which ones wouldn't, but she knew she would!  *Whew* bravery came from the ride & not fear!  ;)

After Mt. Everest, we headed over to eat some breakfast and attempt to use up the rest of our Dining Plan package before leaving town.

After our sit down breakfast we were on our way to the Animal Safari.  This was definitely a must for going to Animal Kingdom!  And we were told to go early (fast passes) because the animals are out then.  It worked out perfectly and we saw so many different animals out roaming around in their 'natural' environment.

Once the Safari was over we walked through some of the nature trails to see some more animals.  Dad especially wanted to see some Gorillas...so we made sure we went that route so we could let him see the gorillas.  ;)

Next up on the list was the Bug's Life 3D movie.  This was so fun & funny!!  They had several surprises and tricks up their sleeves for giving you the true 3D experience.  We all left the theatre laughing so hard.

It was another long drive to the beach, and I think us girls in the back seat were a little delirious!!  ;)
